Tekalign Debela, Deputy CEO - Marketing and Event Moderation

Tekalign Debela with over 20 years of work experience has obtained MA Transformational Leadership and Change from Greenwich University, School of Business and BA degree from Kotebe College of Teacher Education, Addis Ababa, and Diploma in Rural Economy and Social Development, from Addis Ababa University, the then Alemaya College of Agriculture. He is a very experienced professional undertaking consultancy in the areas of entrepreneurship, rural economy, farm management, education and business development and etc. He has also been working as provide capacity building to firms, provide Business Advisory Services Led and facilitated business plan development and soft skill capacity building, Facilitate and follow preparation of training materials, conducted need assessment for institutional capacity gap to support, conducted agricultural value chains actors and financial institutions, conducted and facilitate Public Private Dialogues.

Dugassa Tessema, Chief Technical Adviser, Senior Business Development Consultant

Dugassa Tessema has over 15 years of work experiences and has a wide range of experiences in the areas of program management, entrepreneurship development, strategic planning and management, and human resources development. He has been working as Acting Chief Executive Officer and Program Manager at Entrepreneurship Development Center (EDC) – Ethiopia, an Empretec Center in Ethiopia. He has also been working as Acting Managing Director for Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) Ethiopia since May 2017 in which capacity he is in charge of hosting the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) in Ethiopia. Before joining Entrepreneurship Development Center Ethiopia, Dugassa has been working in academia and has been active in undertaking research in entrepreneurship in general and in entrepreneurship education and training in particular. He has authored research articles published in US and Europe. He earned first and second degree in management and business administration, respectively from Addis Ababa University. He is a Certified National Master Entrepreneurship Trainer.

Dereje Derso (PhD), Deputy CEO –Senior Consultant, Training and Research

With over 13 years of work experience Dr. Dereje Derso has obtained MSc and BSc in Rural Development and Agricultural Extension from Haramaya University. In addition, Dr. Dereje has obtained PhD in Development Studies with specialization in Rural Development from Addis Ababa University. Dr. Dereje has an extensive experience in delivering high quality work, fulfilling the criteria up to an international standard. Currently Dr. Dereje is working as Deputy Chief Executive officer of Growthtip Consulting PLC. He has over a decade of experience with Research and Development, community engagement, Business Development Advisor, stakeholder engagement, program design, Performance management, monitoring and evaluation. He has proven experience in undertaking several consultancy assignments to mention some; North South Consulting PLC; Policy Study Institute (PSI), formerly named as ‘Ethiopia Development and Research Institute [EDRI]; IFPRI-Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; UMA consult and CARE Ethiopia; and etc.

Yontan Yilama, Senior Consultant

An MBA graduate from Jimma University, Yontan Yilma is an experienced professional in entrepreneurship and business training, Business Development Service (BDS), training material development in multiple languages. Yonatan has held a position as a marketing and public relation manager at EDC-Ethiopia, the UNCTAD EMPRETEC center in Ethiopia and also has been working on the delivery of different entrepreneurship training to business owners, public officials and university students that is positively impacting the lives of many Ethiopian entrepreneurs in making their business innovative and nationally and internationally competitive. He has an impressive track record as an adult trainer and has managed and delivered many training programs in Ethiopia including TOTs, Entrepreneurship Training and Business Skills training. He has also taken training in instructional design skills and distance education module writing. He is also a Senior Trainer/Consultant at HST on delivering different types of corporate training such as team building, customer service and many more.

Boru Shana, Senior Trainer, International Master Trainer and Instructional materials designer

Obtaining Master’s Degree in Development Studies (sp. Regional and Local Economic Development Studies) from Addis Ababa University, Boru Shana has already enjoyed professional standing in the areas of entrepreneurship program and strategy development, social and development research in Ethiopia and Africa. Certified by UNCTAD-EMPRETEC program he is also working as International Master Trainer, coach and management consultant at Entrepreneurship Development Center, UNCTAD EMPRETEC center in Ethiopia and worked with EMPRETEC centers in other African countries of The Republic of The Gambia, South Sudan, and Ghana. Building on this solid experience he had also worked as senior independent entrepreneurship and business development consultant to youth and women entrepreneurship program funded by European Union, International Center for Insect Physiology and Ecology, and other local and international NGOs where he had developed training manual for practicing entrepreneurs and TOT manual for trainers. Apart from this, Boru had also earn authority in research and development policy analysis.

Hamdeno Mideso, Managing Director, Senior Business Development Consultant

With specialization in Project Management, Hamdeno is a graduate of MBA and is currently working as Chief Executive officer of GROWTHTIP Consulting PLC and Chief Senior Business Development Consultant and Board of Director of Gadaa Bank S.C. He has been working as independent senior business development consultant for different organizations. Hamdeno has more and appropriate experience, qualification and relevant trainings and research in the area of Project Management, Business Development Service (BDS), Entrepreneurship, Agriculture, and Nutrition. He has proven experience in undertaking several consultancy assignments and training to banks namely: World Bank, Oromia Bank, Gadaa bank and Buusaa Gonofaa Micro Finance, besides for Government, NGOs and private companies as well as for MSEs across Ethiopia. He has conducted a number of consultancy services mainly focusing on Human capital Development and Management; Marketing and job opportunity assessments for youths; feasibility study for private and public companies; worked with Gadaa bank Management on different working manuals and policies on finance and credit and Human resources.
